Waiting List Rules

According to the Education Act, independent preschools receiving municipal funding must be open to all children who are to be offered preschool placement (Education Act 2010:800 Chapter 8 Sections 3-7 and Section 18§9). Certain exceptions are permitted (Prop. 2009/10:165).

The preschool follows the selection criteria approved by the City of Gothenburg when there are not enough places for all applicants, which are sibling priority and application date.

At Förskolan Ljuset, you can place your child on the waiting list from the day they are born. The child must be 12 months old when starting preschool.

Your child remains on the waiting list until you are offered a place, choose to decline an offered place, or notify us that you no longer wish to remain on our waiting list. Do you already have a child at Förskolan Ljuset? Submit a written waiting list application for each sibling.
